WHEEL REPAIRS & REFURBISHMENT
Some say there is no such thing as perfection. But we know that by continually striving for perfection, we are delivering excellence in everything we do.
RimTeck.UK offers a range of refurbishment services, including wheel straightening, powder coating and diamond cutting. We can also supply and match pretty much any wheel available on the UK market today.
Our workshop is fully equipped with the latest technologies to ensure your refurbished wheels look as good as the day they left the factory.
Although we specialise in wheels, we’re happy to take on anything from suspension and brake components, bike frames or even the garden gate!
TYRE SUPPLY, FITTING & REPAIR
We continue to grow our stock of tyre makes and sizes, and anything we don’t have can be with us within 48 hours. If you’re not sure what your tyre size is, check the guide in the image below.
Remember to let us know the tyre make and model for an accurate quote. If you’re still unsure, take a photo of one of your tyres and email it to us. Remember, the front tyres may be a different size from the rear tyres on some vehicles.
Puncture repairs can usually be carried out while you wait.
WHEEL FINISH GUIDE
DIAMOND CUT
Diamond cut wheels are cut across the face of the wheel to give its distinctive metallic feature. Diamond cut or polished wheels have very faint lines on the front surface of the wheel, similar to grooves in a record or CD.
POWDER COATED
The process involves coating the surface of your rims with a dry powder that is applied electrostatically and then heat-cured. Powder coated alloy wheels usually have a fine metallic finish.

STEP-BY-STEP WHEEL REFURBISHMENT PROCESS
-
Step 1.
Inspection
When the wheels arrive on site, we carry out an initial inspection and assess the level of work required with the customer.
-
Step 2.
Stripping
Once the tyres, valves, weights, and centre caps have been removed from the wheels, they are submerged in an industrial chemical stripper specifically designed for alloy wheels. This removes the original coating and leaves the bare aluminium wheels ready for blasting, which gets rid of any corrosion and keys the surface for the powder coat primer.
-
Step. 3
Repairs
At this point the wheels are bare metal which enables us to repair most types of damage including scuffs, kerb marks, cracks, and bends.
-
Step. 4
Coating
The wheels are placed inside our purpose-built oven and preheated to degas them. This prevents any trapped gases in the porous casting of the wheel to come through once the primer is sprayed on.
Once the wheels are up to temperature, they are removed from the oven and are coated with a powder primer, followed by the colour of your choice in either powder or paint. A final lacquer coat is applied for a glossy finish and added protection. The wheels are then left to cool to room temperature.
-
Step. 5
Finishing
Once the wheels have cooled, we fit a new valve stem and refit the tyre. The tyre pressure is then set according to the vehicle and the wheels are then balanced using adhesive weights to ensure that the new coating does not get damaged. Finally, they are placed and torqued correctly back on the car.
